Learn the essentials of fat tanning over four days with hands-on guidance, perfect for beginners wanting to understand the basics of hide tanning and create a wearable textile.
Participants can use a provided hide or bring their own. Braintanning is a lot of work and we'll be moving at a fast pace; sign up in pairs to work and share a single hide together.

Learn the essentials of fat tanning over a single weekend with hands-on guidance, perfect for beginners wanting to understand the basics of hide tanning and create a wearable textile.
Braintanning is a lot of work and you'll be working in pairs. To make this happen in one weekend I'll have hides prepped at different stages. You'll complete one hide with a group of 2+ people and cut the hide to split it in the end.
Hides will be provided.

Tannic Tanning
Learn the essentials of tannic tanning with hands-on guidance. Meant for hunters, trappers or farmers wanting to learn how to preserve their own animal hides with the hair on.
There are some variables to discuss for this class. I have limited hides, perhaps you want to bring your own. Reach out to discuss.
